On February 21st we will be at Detroit Main Library to celebrate Mother Emanuel with author Kevin Sacks in conversation with Wallace Bowie III . We hope to celebrate with the AME Church Community. We celebrate The Black Curator - authors by Kemuel of the Motown Muesum. Get Ready Detroit the Hip Hop Science Show is coming to Detroit March 10th.
May Dr. Minister Saladin D.S.S. rest well. We received news from our beloved community that Minister, Teacher, Mentor and longtime bookstore friend has passed. Indeed we are very sad, also filled with gratitude for the guidance & friendship he offered us and the continued support from him and the Ascending Church of the Comic Christ of us from our early days as booksellers until the present. Minister Saladin is a great part of why we have a Spirituality and Metaphysics selection and why we and others have a bigger view of ourselves and the importance of self-knowledge.
